WEVERS: Julia (De Haan) Achterhof, age 89, was welcomed into heaven on November 20, 2011. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Myron Achterhof, her parents, William and Johanna De Haan, and sister, Trina Benthem. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Rev. Theodore Wevers; her step-children Thea and Arnold Toonstra, Rev. Frank and Sally Wevers, and Betty and Rev. James Zondervan; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Adriana Bouma, many brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Cremation has taken place at Julia’s request. A memorial service to celebrate her life and faith will be held at her church, Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, on Monday, November 28, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, designated monies can be given in Julia’s memory to the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church Christian Education Memorial Fund.
