Josie Talsma, age 94, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; daughter, Mary Bruesch; son, Vernon Talsma; and 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Norman, Kary Sundberg, and Judith Kunzi. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Betty and Warren (deceased) Kunzi, Janet and Sid Norman, Helen and Larry (deceased) Morris , Linda and Stan Stedman, George and Carol Talsma, Karen and Gary (deceased) Sundberg; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Henrietta and Mick Abby, Tessie and Roger Dean; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Josie Talsma, Martin and Alene Talsma, Ann and Steve Leep, George and Jan Talsma, Bill and Joanne Talsma; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr., with Rev. Allan Jongsma officiating. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-9 pm and Wednesday from 9-10 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
