Swanson, Bernice, Barbara
SWANSON-Bernice Barbara (Frantz) Swanson, aged 79 of Wyoming, went to her Lord peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2011. She was born in White Cloud, Michigan on May 1, 1932. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Patranella Frantz and her sister, Lillian LeRoy. Bernice will be lovingly missed by her devoted husband and best friend of 61 years, Donald; her twelve children, Herb (Mary) Swanson, Mike (Sandy) Swanson, Don (Linda) Swanson, Chris (Sheila) Swanson, Mary (Gary) Karr, Bernice (Dan) Roelofs , Tom Swanson, Lorna (Zoltan) Lorinczy , John (Ann) Swanson, Jim Swanson, Richard Swanson, Sharon Walsh and their families; her brother, Stephen (Kathryn) Frantz of North Muskegon; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bernice was a faithful Catholic who loved serving her Lord through her church; she also loved her family, music, writing poetry, collecting butterflies and angels. She will be greatly missed . We hold fast to God’s promise that we will all meet again in His kingdom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, at 11 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW Wyoming, with Father Michael Alber Celebrant. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-9 with a Rosary at 8:30pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Family will receive visitors one hour before the service on Friday. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Those who wish to make memorial contributions may consider Right to Life of Michigan or a mission of their choice.Guestbook
