Strohl, Margaret

Margaret (Zandbergen) Strohl, age 95, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 18, 2011.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Strohl; parents, Henry and Edith Zandbergen; stepdaughter, Betty Buck; brothers, Howard and Eugene Zandbergen; sisters, Verna North, Rose Zandbergen and Nelva Conser.  She will be lovingly remembered by her stepdaughter, Barbara Decker; several step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Bonita Zandbergen, Vina Helder, Donald and Carol Zandbergen; sister-in-law, Vivian Zandbergen; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive., with Rev. Case VanKempen officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Reformed Church of Grandville or Faith Hospice.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. My name is Matt Biezunski and I work at Laurels of Hudsonville. I had the privilege of taking care of Margaret the last couple of years. Margaret was the nicest, sweetest person and I will not forget her. Everyday she
said something nice to me to make me feel good about my work. Without a doubt her place is now in heaven. God bless her family.
