Steigenga: Norwin Dale Steigenga, age 73, of Byron Center, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Tena Steigenga; sister, Harriet VanderLaan; brother, Harold Steigenga; stepmother, Agnes Steigenga. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Carole; their children, Joy and Kirk Riddering, James and Stormy Steigenga; grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, John; sister, Delores and Tom Holden; sister-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Pat Rhodes, Mary and John Metz, Nancy and Gary Shuert; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday at First Byron Center Christian Reformed Church, 2480 85th St., Byron Center, with Rev. Tom Groelsema officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 4-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to West Side Christian School Foundation Fund or Tuition Assistance Fund.
