Smit, Rinze
Rinze Smit, age 94, of Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaretha; son, Harry; and daughter, Melody. He is survived by his daughter, Henriette “Toni” Thomas; grandchildren, Gina Thomas, Michelle Thomas, Jason and Kristen Thomas (and their children, Blake and Kasey); brother, Cornelius and Dorothy Smit; brother-in-law, John Kool; sister-in-law, Mary Smit; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held in the Memories Building of Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive on Saturday, September 17 from 2-4 pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.
