Shook, Virginia Leola

SHOOK - Mrs. Virginia L. Shook, aged 91 of Clark Retirement Community, formerly of Caledonia went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Shook; four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Rosalie) Shook of Caledonia, Philip (Rosella) Shook of Caledonia, Donald (Patricia) Shook of Romeo, David (Sally) Shook of Middleville, Catherine Sue (Bill) Van Port Fleet of Kentwood; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jay (Eileen) Shook of Caledonia; sister-in-law, Ruth Shook of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Virginia will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Caledonia United Methodist Church, 250 Vine St. with Rev. James Hodge officiating. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St. and Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Clark Retirement Benevolent Fund, Caledonia UMC Building fund, or Spectrum Health Hospice.
