You will never know the impact that you had on my life. You showed me how to be a better person in so many ways. I wish I would've shared that with you before now, and it breaks my heart I'll never see you again.

Salmon, Paul
SALMON: Paul Michael Salmon, age 25, of Grandville, passed away unexpectedly and was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Paul had a positive attitude and spirit. He had a zest for life and was contagiously uplifting to all who knew him. He was a faithful and loyal friend, always willing to give of himself to others. Even though his time here with us was too short, his memory will be cherished for a lifetime. Paul was preceded in death by his grandpa, Arthur Schweitzer, and his aunt, Bonnie Salmon. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Roy and Norma Salmon; sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Arthur Gust; girlfriend, Mary Hunter; grandparents LaVerne and Virginia Salmon, Mary Schweitzer; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; numerous friends too many to mention. A Funeral Service of Christian Liturgy will be held Saturday at 11:00am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Fr. Chris Rouech Celebrant. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org). Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr., as well as one hour prior to the service at the church.Guestbook

Tall Paul, you were the most genuine friend one could ask for. It never mattered what the circumstance was, you just wanted to have fun and enjoy life. It may sound cliche, but you were most accepting person I've ever met. You loved life, you loved everyone,
and reached out to everyone (all pun intended). I will never meet another person in my life as accepting/caring/loving as you were. Albeit our time together was a short 7 years, you were one of the best friends I could have wished for. You were an incredible
brother, I will always remember and love you. Truth, Courage, Faith, Power. I love you big guy, and always will.

To Paul's family, I didn't know Paul but I am a childhood friend of one of his friends. I am touched by the memories and comments shared here. It sounds like he was a wonderful person, full of energy. My brother too, died at a young age unexpectedly. Even
with that, your experience is unique and I am truly sorry. Please know that people all over the place (via big, little and no connections at all) are thinking and praying for you!

humor. Paul, you were a joyful presence in this world, and you will be missed...RIP.

Tall Paul is my son, Tim's best friend. Tim loved Tall Paul, and so did many of us. Paul graced my life as well. His joyfilled smile, his playfulness, his caring spirit, and his tenderness all were so huge! My daughter Bess, just started working with Paul
and he brought her Skittles last week, but Bess said she only liked the orange ones. A few moments later and a container of all orange Skittles graced her hostess stand. Paul gave and gave. He touched so many. My condolences to his parents and sister, and
also to his friends. May God give strength for these difficult days and may we all focus on his joy, live each day with that same joy, and await our reunion with Tall Paul.
