Palmbos, Jennie
Jennie Palmbos, age 91, of Jenison, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 22, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1980 and 4 siblings. She was a woman of quiet faith who led by example and who served her Lord in many ways including instructing Sunday School, Calvinettes, and participating in Bible Study Fellowship. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Allen and Jean Palmbos, Alice and Robert VanderTuin, Marilyn and John VanderMeulen, Gladys and Frank VanTil; grandchildren, Greg and Sarah Palmbos, Eric Palmbos and fiancée, Kellie Brady, Daniel and Marceille VanderTuin, Gwenellyn Hanna, Seth and Abbie VanderMeulen, Kirk and Beth VanderMeulen, Bryan VanTil and fiancée, Kristina Sanjurjo, Amanda and Joe Porter, Christopher and Jessie VanTil; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Hermina Redder; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive., with Rev. Mark Bennink officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hudsonville Christian School or OMF International c/o Gwen Hanna.
