I just received the news of Jack's passing tonight, well after the Visitation at the funeral home. I'll always remember the things I learned from him and the experiences we had in SCCA, and so many great conversations....either about race cars or computers
or both. He was a remarkable guy, and a remarkable driver, and a dear old friend. I wish I had been able to spend more time with him during the last visit I had with him, but I'm glad we were able to do it and get one another caught up. I'm sorry I was never
able to tell him that I'll be going racing again. And if anyone tells me I'm too old to be doing that, I'll reply "Let me tell you about my friend Jack, one of the best drivers I have known.....". My sympathies to all the Nelson family, also old friends of
mine. I'll never forget him.
