McPeck, Charlotte Ann

MC PECK - Charlotte Ann McPeck, nee Crumback, passed away September 14, 2011 at her home in the company of her loving boys, Ted and Casey.  She was third child of Carl and Mary (Johnston) Crumback, born August 24, 1930, and raised in Gaines Township on the farm of her Crumback Grandfathers.  She was married June 17, 1950 to Kenneth Layton McPeck at the Gaines UB Church.  They had seven children, Kenneth, Robin, Carl, Leonard, Ben, Ted, and Joseph.  Her family grew with the additions of Ken’s Rita, Ben’s Janet and Joe’s Gwen and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, Justin and Tracy McPeck and Ian, Riley and Brook; Aubrey and Camille Price; Alyson and Tyler Woolsworth; Jessica and Leroy Earegood and Montana, Emma and Chloe; Heather Henlee and her family, Brad and Casey Clark;  Amanda, Devin, Danielle and Joseph II McPeck; and great-great-grandchildren; and her dog, Panda Bear.  Her husband, Robin, Leonard, Riley and Brad preceded her in death.  Her brothers and sisters are Bob and Barb Crumback, Gloria Crumback, Pat and Carole Crumback, Elsie and Norm DeLeeuw, Ellen Crumback and Linda Crumback.  Her brothers, Cal and Larry, preceded her.  Many nephews and nieces will miss her. Funeral services for Charlotte will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Gaines United Brethren Church, 1612 – 92^nd St. SE with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment in South Gaines Cemetery.  Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Chapel (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St. Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Boys Town or Spectrum Health Hospice.
