LANGTON-Yvonne Elizabeth Langton, aged 79 of Grand Rapids, formerly of the Detroit area, passed away very peacefully Monday, June 20, 2011with her husband and two sons at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Pearl (Compliment) Dery, brothers, Frederick (Doris) Dery, and Gabriel Dery. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Richard; son, Larry (Tammy) Langton and their children, Michael and Kristina, son Tom Langton and his children, Matthew, Marlee, Cayman, Abby; three daughters and their children; brothers and sisters, Richard (Freya) Dery, Marvin (Lorraine) Dery, Carol (Donald) Sladick, Therese (John) Moore, Mary Jo (Thomas) Wilson; sister-in-law, Patricia Ulrich; many nieces and nephews. Richard and Yvonne moved from the Detroit area to Grand Rapids in 1967. The Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated 11am Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth SE, with Fr. Troy Nevins presiding, Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends Thursday 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo SE, Kentwood, with a vigil at 7:30pm.
