Johnson, Pauline Esther

JOHNSON – Pauline Esther Johnson (Halsted), aged 90, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Friday, January 20, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard. Pauline was a woman of faith who gave of her time and talents in many ways. She was active at Wesley Park United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and established close friendships. She enjoyed traveling, photography, genealogy, and calligraphy. She had the gift of sewing, needlepoint, and counted cross stitch making many beautiful items for family and friends over the years. She cherished her family, and even considered her neighborhood friends not only friends but family as well. She is survived by her children, Dr.’s Robert and Pam Johnson, Rev. Lawrence and Carol Johnson, Rev. Mark and Johnie Johnson, Kathleen and Ronald Rizzo; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; step-sister, June and Duaine Pinkston; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service for Pauline will be held on Saturday at 4:00 pm at Wesley Park United Methodist Church, 1150 32^nd Street SW, Wyoming with Rev. Dean Prentiss officiating.
