John Norma Kolasse

KOLASSE-John Norman Kolasse, aged 75 of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Neta Kolasse, sisters Dode Willis, Mary Moers, Polly Growe, Barb Kolasse, Carol Griffin, his brother, Tom Schulte  and father-in-law George Beaty. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Beaty) Kolasse; children, Yvonne and Bob Carpenter, Bob and Jeannette Kolasse, Debra and Dan Chester, Jennifer and Benj Butgereit; grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) Holstege, Trevor Carpenter, Derek Kolasse, Alex Kolasse, Jessica Butgereit and Benjamin Butgereit; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Logan, Danika, Ayla, Piper and Nash Holstege; sister, Kathryn Woodcock; mother-in-law, Anna Marie Beaty; several nieces, nephews and special friends. John was a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He  retired from County Fresh after 45 years of employment. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Monday at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1630 Godfrey SW with Fr. Stephen Dudek presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and Monday 10-11am at the church. A vigil service will be held Sunday at 8pm at the funeral home.
