HOCUM-JULIEN – Esther P. Hocum-Julien, aged 93 of Grand Rapids fell asleep in Jesus on Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ferris Hocum and Harry Julien; her children, Doris Marie Hocum, Carol Haner, Mabel Adams, Melba Jean Ecker. She is survived by her children, Violet and Allen Julien, Bobbi and Fred Elkins, James and Marie Hocum; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Delsie Walters of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-law, Cora Hocum of Dallas, TX. Funeral services for Esther will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Apostolic Faith Church, 1935 – 44th St. SE with Sfg. Bishop Allen Julien officiating. Interment in Rosedale Memorial Park. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE Thursday 2-4 and 7:30 – 9:30 pm and Friday from 10 – 11 am at the church.
