Bob, Tom and Danny, so very sorry I can't be with you as you celebrate your mom's life... She was a very special Lady and will be missed.. I have so many memories of your family: babysitting you boys, getting caught by your dad riding around in the car
in PJ's.. :-). Your mom was always available for a visit or for "mentoring".. She lived the life she talked about: following her Lord... Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

HIGLEY – Lois Higley, aged 78 of Caledonia went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; mother and father, Russel and Lucitta. She will be greatly missed by her children, Bob and Bobbie, Tom and Patti, Dan and Rebecca; 14 grandchildren, Gene and Heather, Chad and Leanne, Eric and Shannon, Alan and Robyn, Brett and Sarah, Brock and Katherine, Blake and Laura; 11 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Haden, Ashley, Taylor, Jalen, J.T., Mason, Owen, Anna, Isaac, Brianna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Yvonne, Charles "Pat" and Marilyn; and many nieces and nephews. Lois spent her life serving the Lord, loving her family and serving the children in her community. Lois was a teacher’s aid at Green Lake School and Caledonia Elementary School. She sang in the church and taught Sunday School and Bible School throughout her life. She tutored children with special needs in her home and spent her life being a vessel for the Lord. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at Gaines Church (Caledonia), 1612 – 92nd St. SE, with Pastor Kelly Burnside, officiating. The family will meet relatives and friends at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St on Thursday 5-8 pm and Friday 2-4 and 5-8 pm. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gaines Church.Guestbook

I'm so sorry to hear that Bobs mother has died, because we know he'll miss her terribly. I hope all will be ok. I'm praying for all of you in your time of remembering a lovely lady. Ive never cared for the saying " losing a loved one ". We don't lose them
