Herring, Harold, Webster

Herring – Harold Webster Herring, 75, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 8, 2011.  Harold was born on July 14, 1935.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal, in 2008.  Harold is survived by his children, Dennis (Sandie) Young of Florida, Milli Straub of Wyoming, Christopher “Chip” (Kim) Herring of Sparta, Dawn (Daryl) Smart of South Carolina, Ginger (Mark) Tracy of Grand Rapids, Ray (Shelly) Herring of Washington, Bill (Amy Gadison-Herring) Herring of Grandville, and special friend, Christian “Gene” Quiles.  Harold will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Harold ran the automotive department at Yankee Department Store which became Zody’s Department Store for many years before working for Glen Kellogg builders.  At Harold’s request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 17 at South Harbor Church in Byron Center at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tom Elenbaas officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or South Harbor Church.
