Helder, Patricia Ann

HELDER:  Patricia Ann (Becker) Helder, age 72 of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 19, 2011.  She is survived by her children, Pamela (Rick) Boersema, Curtis (Jennifer) Helder, and Janice Bienz; grandchildren, Bryce Helder, Ricky and Zach Boersema, Riley and Rheyanna Helder, Scott and Heather Bienz, and Lisa Shimizu; great grandchildren, Michael, Alivia, and Lillyanna Bienz; brothers, Donald (Mary) Becker, and Gordon Becker; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Patricia worked for many years as an LPN for Dr. Weeber of Grandville Medical Center and also as a private duty nurse for many people in Kalamazoo.  The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Tendercare of Westwood, Kalamazoo, MI for all the love and support that Patricia had received for her many years. A memorial service for Patricia will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive with Pastor Ron Hirdes officiating.  A luncheon will follow the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Rickman House.

Your mother & I started school together and we were the best of friends, we were the only two girls in class along with two boys. After high school we still use to get together and then we got too busy and lost contact with each other. I would have loved
to have come today but was unable to, I really loved your mom and am so sorry she is gone.
