Friar, Ilau, Bernice
FRIAR-Ilau Bernice (Weidman) Friar, aged 86 of Wyoming, passed away after a long illness with dementia into the arms of her Lord, Jesus on Monday, August 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Surviving are her husband, James Friar; two children, John and Nancy Bosma of Spring Lake, Sharon and Kyle Box of Eureka Springs, AR; step-daughter, Karla and Mark Nelson of Mohegan Lake, NY; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ilau was the grand-niece of John Weidman, who built and named the town of Weidman, MI Funeral services will be held 11am Friday at the Grace Reformed Church, 3330 Burlingame SW, with Rev. Rick Oppenhuizen officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 6-8pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Reformed Church or Dementia Association.
