FAUGHT: Charles Alverton Faught, age 95, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 9, 2011surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1916 in Holcumb, WI. Charles acquired the nickname “Buck” at an early age, named after his mother’s brother, “Buckskin Charlie” Rollins. He was the proud father of Robert and David. Sadly David lost his life while serving his country in Vietnam. Buck enjoyed a 35 year retirement from Chrysler Motors. His favorite quote “I worked to live, not lived to work.” He lived a simple straight forward life and loved his family. Sports, photography, daily walks and family filled his life with pleasure. Buck is survived by his son, Robert (Vicki) Faught; grandchildren, Jon (Jill) Faught, Chad (Stacie) Faught, Kelley (Rick) Collett, Brandy (Ray) Cousins, Brooke (Johnny) McClaine, Amanda (Ben) Gilmore, Katti Pandell, Teresa (Jim) DeGracia; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. Interment Big Prairie Cemetery, Croton, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Autism Speaks.
