BUSH – Kathleen Germaine Mate Bush of Kentwood, passed away into the arms of Jesus on January 22, 2012. Kathy was born November 23, 1946 to Maurice and Freda Mate of Wyoming, Michigan. She grew up in Wyoming and moved to Kentwood where she lived and raised her family. She spent the last eight winters at Holiday Travel Resort in Florida, where she made many great friends. She loved having the sun on her face and watching her kids swim in the pool. She will be greatly missed by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 46 years, David Bush. She will also be missed by her children, Mary (Shane) Garner, David (Jennifer) Bush, Marcy (Chad) Belt, Daniel (Melissa) Bush; her grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Kaitlin Garner, Austin, Dylan Belt, Daniel, Margaret Bush; her brothers and sisters, Sheron Miller, Richard (Nancy) Mate, Jim Mate, Dave Mate, Richard Bush, Michael (Marge) Bush, Mark (Brenda) Bush, Marcella (Joseph) Host, Annemarie (Jeff) Ulin, Patricia (Ronald) Zomerlei, Clifford (Shana) Bush as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jeanann. Although she leaves us in this world, we will carry her in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1213 – 52nd St. SE. Interment in Cascade Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Thursday from 10 am until 10:45 am at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to “Brian Bush Memorial Putt for Life”
