Bunker, Lysle Kenneth
BUNKER – Lysle Kenneth Bunker, age 88, of Cascade Township passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012. A World War II veteran, Ken served as an Army ambulance driver in Europe. After the war, he met and married his one true love, Priscilla, and they remained inseparable for 63 years. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, he and his wife lived in New Hampshire, Arizona, and Michigan. Ken worked as an accountant his entire career, mostly in the furniture industry, and was Treasurer of Baker Furniture for six years. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; his two sons, Alan (Nancy) Bunker of Kentwood and Ron Bunker of Waterford, New York; his three grandchildren, Charles (Yuliya) Bunker, Teri (Chris) Miller, and Tom (Heather) Bunker, all living in the Grand Rapids area; and seven great grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander, Anthony, Marisa, Madelyn, Kyler, and Noah. A visitation and memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Matthysee-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Avenue SE. The family thanks the caring staff at the Acute Care for the Elderly Center of Spectrum Blodgett Hospital and Dr. John Maurer for their support.
