Bouwsema, Lucy

BOUWSEMA:  Lucy Bouwsema, age 90, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2011.  She was preceded in death by husband, William. Surviving are her children, William Bouwsema, Jr., Ann and Don Huisman, Claire and John Wilson; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Fenny Wiersum-Haaksma; brother, Barteld Haaksma; sisters-in-law, Dini Haaksma-van der Rijst, Getruida Haaksma-Dijksterhuis, Wilma Silvis, Tena and Folkert Heerema; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive, with Rev. James M. Evenhouse officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Jenison Christian School.

To the family, Our sincere sympathy to all of you in the loss of Lucy. She was a good friend of my mom and I appreciated who she was and what she did. She had a sparkly personality. I am sorry to miss the funeral seeing I was out of town till very late
last night and did not know the details of the arrangements.
