BLASHKIW:  Steven R. Blashkiw Jr., age 67, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 4, 2012.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Anne and Steven Blashkiw Sr.  He was retired from Suspa as Chief Financial Officer after many years of dedicated service. He proudly served his country as a Military Police officer during the Vietnam War.  Steve was blessed with a sense of humor and strong work ethic.  He had a passion and love for golfing and most recently becoming a model railroader which he was very proud of.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 11 years, Patricia; children, Bradley Blashkiw, Mark Blashkiw, Lisa and Larry Freeman, Scott and Nikki Hemminger, Heather Hemminger; grandchildren, Brianna, Alexas, Audryana, Logan, Mitchell, Cohen, Brooklyn; siblings, MaryJo and Wendall Fox, Stephanie and Martin Weyenburg, David and Meredith Blashkiw; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.
