Jeff is an owner of Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf along with Fred DeGraaf and John Kuiper. Jeff became a licensed funeral director in the year 2000, and serves all five locations, but can be primarily found working at the Kentwood and Caledonia funeral homes. Jeff has a lovely family including his wife, Tara, and two children, Elliana and Maddox.

John is a third generation funeral director, who began working in the family business with his father in 1986. He lives in Grandville with his wife, Cheri, and their five children, Kelli, Michael, David, Matthew and Lily.

Fred DeGraaf is a third generation funeral director, following his grandfather, John Kuiper and father, Ed DeGraaf, into the business in 1985. He graduated from Calvin Christian High School, Davenport University, Aquinas College and Wayne State Mortuary College. Fred and his wife, Donna, and their three children are proud to live in the Byron Center area.

Licensed in 2002, Doug has been serving families for 10 years and is passionate about working with Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf. He currently lives in Hudsonville with wife, Kristi, and three boys, Adam, Alex and Aaron. Doug primarily serves the Allendale location.

Cousin to Cal and Jeff Matthysse, Mike attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science and became state licensed in 1995. He resides in Jenison and is active in both his church and community.

Rachael Venlet is proud to serve families in her hometown with the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf families and staff. She began in funeral service in 2000 and studied Mortuary Science at Wayne State University. A licensed funeral director since 2002, she is now serving at all locations.

Randy Shassberger has lived his entire life in the Wyoming / Grandville and Jenison area. Graduating in 1987 from Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Randy brings his 25 years of experience to the MKD staff and the families they proudly serve.
